Can someone help, where do I go to get an incorrect credit default off my credit score. It is a mistake by Vodafone who Iv spoke to several times regarding this, they didn’t end my contract as I instructed them which resulted in debt collectors hounding me. It’s all sorted now, Vodafone apologised and sorted out my account however there is still a red flag on my credit score due to this. I just spoke to them again and they’re not very helpful they just said it’ll be off within 30 days however this was months and months ago that it was meant to of been sorted .

Hi @Poppytyler, we understand the importance of showing accurate information your credit report for the lenders. How have you been speaking to us about getting this sorted? Have you ever spoken to us over the Social Media channels?

Yeah I spoke to Vodafone earlier on live chat and call they said to call equifax to sort it but I cannot get through to them, I have also contacted via Facebook

If you can send us a private message using your Facebook profile, our credit file specialists will be happy to take a look at your query. When you drop us a message, select 'Get Started' followed by 'Asked to DM', if you could also include your Community username, that would be great.

If any one is interested or going through the same I have contacted Vodafone through Facebook and they have sorted my problem by removing the default and settling my credit file. They said will take 30 days to show on report.

Credit file amendments update with all major lenders within 48 hours - due to the way credit reference agencies produce their reports, it can take up to 30 working days for you to see the amendment yourself 🙂
