I have upgraded my phone and entered a new contract as a new customer but have previously been with Vodafone. I need to go PAYG for 30 days. Following the instructions it’s asking for
is this the SIM card in my current phone or the new phone that has just been delivered?

The number you wish to keep @LHARROP07 the previous not new contract. The other alternative is to port out as PAYG to any other network and port back in on the new contract.
If you have upgraded direct with Vodafone it should be for the same number.
