Hello All,
Hoping someone can help - I currently have a Vodafone contract with a third party reseller, but, I'm going to terminate that contract as they are fleecing me and I want to get a contract with Vodafone direct. I'm struggling to work out exactly what I need to do though,
As far as I can make out, I need to get my current providers to cancel the contract and move me onto pay as you go, then once that's done, I can then activate my new sim, and then fill out the Keep my Number form to get Vodafone to move my existing number over to my new contract then it all should be sorted.
Am I correct or has anyone else experience with this?
Many thanks

If you are wanting to keep the same number @Nathan_Martin , you can upgrade direct with Vodafone through your online account or by calling the Upgrades Team and as from next week, through a store.
It's only when taking out a contract through a third party where you need to take out a new contract and are given a new number and need to cancel the previous number by porting out and back in on the new contract.
If it's a new number you want, the third party contract will need to be cancelled direct with Vodafone. This can be done using a STAC code here: Cancel Account

@anns Thanks for your reply, but as I have a contract already through a third party, I wish to cancel it with them altogether and the get a new contract with Vodafone direct, so unfortunately it's not quite just an upgrade.

In that case follow the cancellation link in my reply. The easiest way is by texting STAC. Just get yourself a PAYG SIM with any other network and submit the STAC code. This will cancel the third party contract. If you want to keep the number go the PAC route. To move the number back to Vodafone, text PAC with the other network and take out a new contract with Vodafone using the PAC.
Both will generate the final bills, there may be some early termination charges if you are still in contract.
