Hi,

Is it possible to move from a standard plan to a 4 Xtra plan?

Thanks for the replies @AnnS and @BandOfBrothers

I initially spoke to someone on webchat who offered me a deal to move over which they noted on the account. I called the next day to follow up on said deal and was told no telephone person can deal with tariff migrations and that it can only be done via webchat.

First person I spoke to was adamant that it could not be done, got disconnected tried again and that person advised that they could not do it either They transferred me to someone else who also advised that moving to an Xtra plan is not possible from a standard price plan. After a bit of back and forward they allegedly spoke to their team leader who would do it as a 'one off' because the notes on the account advised it could be done.

Took them about 45 minute, came back to me with the tariff at a much higher price which the CS advisor was (luckily) able to reduce.

In the end was able to get it sorted but it was a real struggle which seems to be par for the course with Vodafone these days.

Hi @garetc

Have a word with customer services on 191 , Live Chat or the Vodafone Social Media Teams Here > Contact Us and they'll discuss your options in regards to a xtra-plan

Also take a look in your Myvodafone app too or in your online Myvodafone via Myvodafone online login page.

i.e How-do-I-change-my-plan.

To change your plan:

  1. Open the My Vodafone app
  2. Tap the Data tile – this takes you to the Usage tab
  3. Choose Plan, then Change plan "

And there is What-s-a-Flexi-upgrade-and-how-do-I-get-one.

"A Flexi-upgrade lets you upgrade your phone at any point after six months. This means you don’t have to wait until your plan’s end date. "

Yes @garetc   No need to upgrade, you can add the Extra benefits to any standard plan and just continue as you are and upgrade to an Extra Plan at the end of your current contract.

No quite sure of the extra charges to add the benefits, this will be something Customer Services will be able to let you know when you contact them to add the extra benefits to your account.

Good to hear you got this sorted @garetc although not as seamlessly as it could have been.

Take care.
