OTP sms

Hi! No one has been able to help me with OTP (one-time passcode) for 3 months. I don't receive OTP sms from the Bank, hmrc, post office, screwfix, royal mail..etc .. Every time I call, you tell me, "we have seen what the problem is, now turn the phone off and on again and everything will work", but nothing , nothing works! I called a thousand times, but you always say the same song. I receive text messages only from "normal" numbers but from "service" numbers, nothing. I have been a vodafone italia customer for 15 years, but there, when I had a problem, it solved it in a few minutes, here, it is 3 months and still nothing. I am very disappointed with Vodafone UK. Have a nice day!

I have already spoken via chat and on the phone, and nobody has managed to solve this problem. Who else should I talk to ?! My number was from Vectone Mobile, I received the packcode and I switched to Vodafone, since I switched to Vodafone I no longer receive OTP sms. Clearer than that!!! The problem comes from you! it's you who blocked something! My number worked fine before moving on to Vodafone, then finished. The only solution is to close the contract with you and go to another network operator.

and not only that, my wife has the same problem! She has always moved from Vectone Mobile to Vodafone and she does not receive OTPs either. So in my opinion you have a problem.

since March 2020 no one from Vodafone has been able to solve my problem. In March 2022 the contract with Vodafone ends and I will be the happiest in the world. You these from Vodafone who answer the phone do not understand anything, I explain the problem but you activate the porn sites for me, I call you back and I tell you again and you activate a 10 pound exit limit for me to be able to call those strange numbers that they take a lot of money from you. Then I have to stay an hour to try to deactivate. The other posts on these forums with other customers who have had the same problem as mine but the only solution you have is to open a Twitter or Facebook account and contact other people from vodafone. How much do I recommend the Vodafone service to a friend? I give you a number from 0 to 10 .... let me think .....- 0, too bad that 0 is a number, I wouldn't even give you that. Ahh..don't worry about replying to this post, you've already proven how professional you are "Mr Vodafone". (my problem already explained a year ago in another topic.)

Hey @Chriss79 I'm sorry to hear you're still have difficulty receiving One Time Pin SMS messages. It sounds like the advisers you've been in touch with have misunderstood the issue you're experiencing. This is something we can ask our Network Engineers to look into. As we'll need to request some personal information from you to allow them to investigate this, we'll need you to pop us a private message via one of our social channels. When you reach out to us, selecting 'Get started' followed by 'asked to DM' will direct you straight through to a member of our team. If you include a link to this thread and your community ID, this will save you having to repeat your self and enable us to eliminate any of the steps already taken from our investigation.

Not even on Twitter I am able to solve this problem. You said to put the link with the reference to the problem to avoid repeating the whole speech, but obviously the people who are on Twitter to answer you are more STUPID than those who answer the phone when you call. I have been texting them on Twitter for 6 hours and nothing, they all say nonsense, they ask the same stupid questions. What a garbage service Vodafone offers !!! The worst condemnation is to sign a contract with Vodafone. Now another has entered to chat with me on Twitter asking me the same questions, but I ask you: READ THE SPEECH THAT HAS BEEN MADE SO MUCH BEFORE ASKING THE QUESTIONS ???????

It would probably help to continue to engage with the Social Media team.   Answer their questions as concisely as you can to allow them to understand the issue fully.   The problem of non-received passcode SMSs isn't unknown, so should be pretty straightforward if you keep things simple.

I'm sorry to see this hasn't yet been resolved for you @Chriss79. I've located your DMs to us using the link to your thread and I've ensured the conversation has been fed back to improve our future customer service.

I've tried to reply to your latest DM and I'm getting an error with Twitter failing to send a reply. Please send us a follow up DM and we'll ensure this is sorted so you can receive OTPs again.

I'm having exactly the same problem as @Chriss79, I swap from Vectone to Vodafone and I stopped receiving OTP. I've been trying to solve this but according to the people I've talked in the chat because I can receive OTPs from Vodafone "there's no problem". But the fact is that those are the only OTPs I receive so I can't access my bank accounts, work app that need OTP confirmation, Paypal, Microsoft, you name it... Nightmare!

Hey there @moreiram I can understand how frustrating this must be, we want to resolve this for you. Looks like we'll need to raise this to our network team and to do that we'll require some personal information. Could you please drop us a message social media? Make sure to include a link back to this forum thread and your community username so that you don't have to repeat yourself.
