Hi, I have a current 2 year pay monthly contract with vodafone which expires today.

Last week I bought a 'new contract' not upgraded, with carphone warehouse.

My current network is vodafone and my new contract will be vodafone. Do i need a PAC code to move from a vodafone pay monthly to a new vodafone pay monthly?

Thanks

Hi @aboucher97

As you can't port Vodafone to Vodafone, as has been mentioned on the forum previously, the easiest way to transfer the number to the new third party contract is to port the number out to any other network on a PAYG tariff and back in on the new third party contract.  If you use the forum search facility you will find some previous threads explaining the procedure.

You can get a PAC by text here: Cancel Account

Hi @aboucher97

No you won't need a Pac but you will need to go through a few processes to get this sorted.

Moving old vodafone number onto new Vodafone Contract. Credits to AnnS.
There are two ways this can be done.

1.  Cancel the old contract and ask for the number to be moved to PAYG.  The number will be scheduled to move to PAYG after 30 days.  You will then receive a new PAYG SIM card to activate and top up a small amount to get it active on the network.  You will then be able to transfer the number to the new contract.

2.  Ask Vodafone for a PAC code, move the old number to an alternative network, use the SIM as PAYG on the other network and ask for a PAC code to move the number onto the new contract. If your original contract near it’s end date ? If not then actioning the above would end it and invoke any relavent early termination fee.
