Hello,
I have an old debt with Vodafone I need to pay off. I get nowhere whenever I ring customer services. I need to know if the debt has been passed on and if I can set up a payment plan. My account has been closed since 2016 and I was paying £5 a month up until January this year through a debt management plan which has since been closed down due to unforseen circumstances. Please can a Vodafone forum member or advisor help me as I get nowhere when I phone up?
thanks

@MarkD no it just states the date the account was opened my address my name date of birth and the amount I owe. It also shows Vodafone as who I owe the debt to. I’ve lived at the same address for around 15 years untill recently so I’ve given the correct address, as it can only be one and it’s the address listed on the Experian report. The information must be held somewhere as it’s on my Experian report I am honestly at a lose end on what to do.

That is odd @Patrickos! As we don't have account access over this forum, I'd recommend speaking to the Social Media team again, or giving our dedicated Credit File team a call on 03333 040 191. They should be able to locate any older accounts related to you and advise your next best steps

Hi I spoke to Vodafone back in May this year regarding an old account from 2019 with an outstanding balance that I’d like to pay off.
Vodafone never helped me resolve this issue and it’s effecting my ability to obtain a mortgage. How do I go about clearing the balance? I rang customer services and they was useless was promised a call back and never got one and that was back in May!
How can Vodafone be continuously updating my file on my credit file every month but not allow me to pay it off?
Not happy at all.
