Slow New Connection

I ordered my IPhone on Wednesday and everything arrived on Thursday at 10;59.  I got an email from Vodafone confirming it had been received and yet dispute multiple contacts to customer relations, it’s still not connected, 4 days later.

As a new customer is this the type of service I can expect from Vodafone?  Wonder why I bothered.  I feel I should return it and go back to EE with my tail between my legs.

What shocking service......

Hi @Woozer74

It sounds like you are porting in your EE number, if this is what has happpened, as you received the phone and SIM on Thursday your porting may not have started until the following day Friday.

Porting does not take place on any network over a weekend and you may well find everything starts to sort itself out by the end of the following working day tomorrow, porting happens in stages first outgoing following by incoming and keeping the phone turned off helps the porting process.

If there are problems by the end of the working day tomorrow, this will be something the Social Team will be able to put you in contact with the Porting Team here: Contact Us

edited to add:  If the contract was purchased through a third party, there can sometime be a delay before the information is received from the third party.

Nope.  Brand new number.

All purchased via the Vodafone Website

In that case, the SIM should automatically be activated when inserted into the phone.

Speak to the Social Team through Twitter or Facebook channels, they will have the necessary account access to get this solved for you.

No all ordered via Vodafone website and I’m not porting a number.
