Sure signal being discontinued

We rely on Sure Signal for our phone signal as we live in an area where there is not a phone mast nearby. We run a business from our home and not being able to have a signal is going to put us at a disadvantage.  Before we had Sure Signal we had to travel 2miles down the road to obtain a decent signal.  What does Vodafone propose to do to replace Sure Signal with another option.  Wifi calling is not obtainable on the mobile phone we have.  Your comments please.

Totally understand and appreciate where your coming from @JACKIELUG

Unfortunately Vodafone stopped selling the Sure Signal a while ago and now have said it's being removed from their network.

May I ask what phone you have that won't work with the Calling Over Wi-Fi option ?

My husband has just bought a new Samsung S7, we are not that savvy about technology so he does not need an all singing and dancing up to the minute phone and it does not appear to have the wifi calling selection on this phone.  I have a Samsung S7 edge which is a few years old and it does have the selection.

According to the device guides here, both the S7 and S7 Edge should have the facility.   The first thing to do would be to check that your firmware is fully up to date.   Next, make sure that wifi calling is enabled on your account (or for your number if both are on a single account).   You can do this in the MyVodafone app.   If it's turned on, try turning it off, wait for the confirmation text, then turn it on again.   You can also text CALLING to 97888.

If none of that works, drop a note to the Social Media team on Facebook or Twitter and see if they can get you sorted.

Hi @JACKIELUG

Thank you for confirming the phone model numbers.

Calling Over WiFi Set up. Ask the agent to force the phone via sending an OTA configuration update that should provision your phone for Calling Over WiFi.

"Register for Vodafone Wi-Fi Calling
Text the word CALLING to 97888
This is a free text which will add the service to your account
You should receive the following confirmation text:
Thanks. We’ll add Wi-Fi Calling to your account in the next 24 hours and will let you know when you’re all set up.
If you’d like to discuss this with us, or if you have any other issues, you can find more info here or contact us
Once you receive the confirmation text, switch on Wi-Fi Calling in your settings
Go to Settings, scroll down and choose the Application icon
Choose Phone and scroll down until you see Wi-Fi Calling – select the box beside this option
A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm if you want to enable Wi-Fi Calling – tap OK"

Look in your myvodafone to ensure its turned on and then the settings should appear in your phone.
