Trade in - When do you send your device

I'm new on here. I'm considering switching to the new iPhone from Android. I've been given a guaranteed trade-in value code which is valid for 7 days. I want to use it towards the purchase of a monthly plan iPhone. My question is, when do I need to send my trade in phone to Vodafone? Considering the iPhone is on pre-order and probably won't get delivered for good few weeks. I read on Vodafone site that the trade-in device needs to be sent within 14 days of airtime beginning. So when does the airtime plan actually begin? Is it when I place the order or when my phone gets delivered with the SIM card? If it's when my phone gets delivered then the 14 days to send my trade in phone begins from the day they dispatch my new phone? I need to be able to have my android phone so I can transfer my data to the new phone

Hi @john2k

Vodafone typically send the returns bag with the new phone or you can drop it off at your most local Vodafone Highstreet Store, and ask for the Trade in Phone no later than 14 days of dispatching the new phone.

Vodafone wouldn't expect a person to send in their current phone if they don't have the new phone.

Yes it does mention about the airline as you mention but that does not allow for any delays. I know we see delays with new iPhones but I hope you get yours on time 🤞

Customer Support on 191 , Live Chat or the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Facebook Messenger or Twitter DM Contact-us can officially confirm.

I wish you all the best. Take care.  😎

Is the Vodafone trade-in price really better than any of the decent third party sites which pay you instantly for your phone?

Networks have never paid great prices. Vodafones latest "best price guarantee" isn't exactly what it seems as it only beats other networks which were poor anyway.
