Upgrade Options

I'm looking to upgrade one of the phones on my account to an iPhone14.

If I go on as a new user, I can select the phone, then have a variety of airtime options to choose from.  But, if I log in and try to upgrade, there is only one airtime option available, an unlimited plan at £37 per month.  I dont want unlimited, but can't see any way of choosing a lower amount of data.

Am I doing something wrong ? Or is this just another example of Vodafone prioritising new customers and doing as much as they can to annoy loyal customers ?  (25 years with Vodafone in my case, but very very rapidly losing my patience with them)

Ring 191 and choose the thinking of leaving option to see what the Retentions Department can offer although iPhone contracts are notoriously expensive.

Or ask for a pac from Vodafone if your close to your contract end date and move your number to another networks payg option and then open up a new Vodafone contract via Vodafone or Carphone Warehouse etc.

Then once it's set up and running properly ask the other network for a pac and move your number to the new Vodafone contract.

Yeah, thanks, I will probably have to do something like that.

I just find it hugely frustrating that existing customers get terrible deals in comparison to new customers, and that Vodafone rely on the intertia of existing customers not to vote with their feet.  Time has come now though where that's exactly what I will be doing.

As an aside, Ive come across some awful chat bots in my time, but Vodafone's TOBI is by far the worst, calling it useless would be paying it a compliment !

Sometimes the act of asking for a Pac from Vodafone can make them take action to try and retain you.

I'm not a big fan of Tobi either being totally honest  !

I also agree that both new and existing customers should be afforded the same deals.
