Using abroad

I’m currently in Cyprus for 6 months and I’ve been told that I won’t be charged any extra by using my Vodafone U.K. SIM card here. Someone has told me though that this apparently only lasts for 2 months and then you’ll be charged after that.

Can someone please confirm if I will start getting charged extra after the 2 months or not? 
I need to know whether to buy a Cypriot Vodafone SIM card in the future. Thanks.

Vodafone has advised that roaming abroad is really only for short periods of time and if they highlight your account as being used permanently on roaming then then can act.

I would suggest as you mentioned pick up a local sim card to use instead assuming your phone is unlocked to all Network's @Hickmanbcfc

Hey @Hickmanbcfc, Based on the information available to me, as of 1 February 2021. If customers use their phones abroad in any of our plan’s inclusive roaming destinations for 62 days or more during a four month period, and their usage in those destinations is more than their usage in the UK - this will be considered as prolonged period of time. We will send them a warning email or text to let them know that they have exceeded the threshold in our Acceptable Use Policy. This acceptable use policy applies to calls , texts or data, or any combination of these 👍
