Solution

Vodafone SIM hasn't turned up, switched number and can no longer login.

I switched to Vodafone recently, thought I'd give them a try because my existing provider's network was frequently unavailable.. I'm thinking that I might move away from them already, at time of writing it has been 12 days since I signed up (on 24th March), foolishly, I expected that I'd have a SIM card in a matter of days, and I didn't want to pay for two (SIM only) contracts when I wasn't going to need them both - so I provided the PAC code and scheduled that for 1st of the month, received my last bill, paid my first bill etc.

I was in contact with support on 30th, they had another SIM card dispatched 1st class post, so-say.. I've still not received one. I can't use an eSim as I'm using a S10... This all kicked in and now I don't have a phone that I can use... when I try to login it tells me that there is a code being sent to my phone (hooray - it's my old number, so the switch worked - boo.. I don't even have a vodafone SIM).

I've had problems with another (broadband) service provider recently who made my life hell for three months - What's going on, am I just waiting on the postman (they say they use a courier so no Royal Mail tracking) or are Vodafone going to forget about me, not action my order and charge me money for the privilege? Seems like the least I should get is some money back since I haven't even been able to use this package that they're going to charge me a flat rate for..

This is going to need account access @andrewmaston

From what you have written you provided a PAC this has moved your number over to Vodafone you have been billed and have not received a SIM card for the SIM only contract with the number.

You can contact Vodafone through Customer Service channels, you also have the help an advise of the Social Team here: Contact Us There is also the complaints process here: Complaints

Hey there @andrewmaston thank you for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear you're not having the best start with us, it's really unusual for two SIM cards to not arrive - the quickest way to get a new one would be to pick one up in your local store. They'd simply move your ported number onto it 🙂

As @AnnS has mentioned, we can also take a look at your account to see what's going on - please get in touch with my team via social media

If you go into a shop, you'll need to take ID (I think it's two forms,  one photo and one showing address).

Good point- thanks @hrym - it'll just be one form of photo ID for this @andrewmaston 🙂

I managed to reach out via the web chat / confirming security details - the chap over there called Rakib - understood what my problem was and was helpful - assured me that the new SIM will be here tomorrow (and I have a Royal Mail tracking code this time with an est. Delivery date). They also actioned a credit to my account - so fingers crossed this is going to be resolved.

I'll post an update when I receive (or don't receive) the SIM tomorrow, for posterity.

It's not looking good - nothing has turned up and the Postman has been..

Here's the details of the the order, now when I go and view the progress of it - it says that this isn't even an item which would be delivered.

This is precisely what happened the last time - Rakib said that the original order, and the previous support person who I spoke to the first time, had ordered an eSim - It looks like they've done it again... No phone for one week now, all the apologies in the world don't make up for the time I'm spending trying to deal with this, you were supposed to make my life easier what the hell Vodafone?

Going to a shop wasn't something I'd considered @Amanda - I'd rather not.. but I'll keep it in mind! Thanks.

Thanks for keeping the thread updated @andrewmaston - let us know how you get on and if you need any further help 🙂
