Vodafone cut off my mobile number!

I'm not sure when to begin with this. I've been a vodafone customer for over 15 years but honestly I can say the company is going down hill fast!


On Tuesday I rang up because my virtual landline number hasn't been ringing for about a week, going straight through to voicemail and I was losing a considerable amount of business as people don't leave voice mails they just ring someone else as I'm in the technology repair sector. 


So called up to get the problem fixed and that's where it went horribly wrong. After a hour or so on the phone to Tech support. Hah if you can call it that.  They agreed it wasn't working so they tried a few things to resolve.


And this is where the some idiot working at VODAFONE disconnects my mobile phone line and has been this way ever since. Yes that's right 6 days and no line! I run a small business and rely on my phone for incoming work. To have no phone line for a day is bad,  6 days is a disaster! It's unimaginable that a telecommunications company could be so incompetent.


I've spent the last 6 days on the phone everyday for hours to try and resolve the issue.

However no one at vodafone can help me and all they say is please wait 24/48 hrs.

I have written an email to the ceo of vodafone and to the complaints department but still the problem remains and they are just as useless as the rest of the phone team.

Even tried twitter just as useless.


I'm not sure what else to do and I'm not sure how I get this issue sorted. How can someone be so stupid to disconnect my number and then not reinstate it.  


If anyone is reading this who can help please do. My phone line has been totally cut so its not a phone or sim issue.

Although the Social Team would be unable to intervene when the issue is being dealt with by the Complaints Department  @Techmedics247 they should be able to chase this up for you and find the progress.  Drop the Team a message by following the information on this link  Contact Us 


When you contacted the Complaints Department you should have been provided with a complaints reference and log in to check the progress of the complaint.

Yes I have a complaints number and also an email stating that a dedicated case handler would be in touch within 48hrs. That was Wednesday last week I've called the complaints department twice asking why no one has been in touch, and apparently it could take up to 10 days for someone to investigate. I've tried twitter vodafonebiz ect not much help there either. It seems no one inside vodafone knows exactly how to resolve an issue. Thanks for your reply but it's of little help unless you can direct me to 2nd or 3rd line Tech support who might actually be able to see what a mess someone has made of my account to rectify my phone number

Although you have already been in contact with the Social Team through Twitter, if you don't hear anything from the Complaints Team, drop the Social Team a further message with the copy of the email and they will be able to update you on the progress of the complaint.

Have a word with the Vodafone Social Media Teams. 

They are part of the Customer Complaints Escalation Team.

Day 10, still no line! And still no contact from a complaints handler even though in the email you get it states someone will be in touch within 48hrs. Called up again yesterday... another hour wasted "please be patient sir and wait another 48hrs".........arhhhhhh! Help me, I see I'm not alone in this hell of a groundhog day.


Maybe the easter bunny might fix it for me this weekend, well seems I have more chance of that then a member of staff at vodafone fixing it

So it took 2 weeks in the end to get my mobile number re connected. But the pain doesn't end there..... on no! So after having to basically disconnect my account contract ect and start it again from scratch 4 days into my new service I now can only receive calls and send text. So no outbound calls.


Honestly It's beyond a joke.
