Last night I got a text saying
"Hello, we are currently working on your recent request and to complete this you will experience a temporary loss of service. Apologies for the inconvenience caused. Thanks, Vodafone."
I hadn't made a request of any sort. I've had the same pay monthly deal for many years, always paid on time.
At some time after 10am today, my phone was disconnected. I've spent 2.5 hours being passed around various people on the online chat, none of whom helped at all and several of whom tried to say they'd solved the issue while clearly having no idea what it actually was. Now I've been on hold to 191 for half an hour and then disconnected. Help?

Sorry Gemma, after another half hour on the phone, then later 2 hours on the chat to your complaints department (the telephone line was closed at 8.30 despite saying on the website it's open til 10) I'll be getting my PAC code and leaving this godawful company as soon as possible.
If you want to pass some feedback up the chain, tell your shareholders and executives to stop outsourcing the entire customer services department to people in Mumbai who have to work massive shifts for a pittance and then face the annoyance of customers for not being able to provide any decent assistance whatsoever.
