Will PAC code transfer the number over whilst abroad

I’ve left my previous awful network provider and come to Vodafone,  I have requested my PAC code from previous provider and only after raising an official complaint have they got back to me with it. 

I have just put it in and Vodafone says the earliest it can transfer is Monday. I leave the country on Sunday (doh!) for a holiday. Will the transfer go through when I am in Greece?

There is no guarantee this would work @Skysky69 , to ensure there are no problems and the porting files successfully transferred over, Vodafone would probably ask you to use the phone first in the UK.

A workaround would be to leave the SIM in the UK with a friend and let the number port and if the phone is unlocked, get yourself a local SIM card for Vodafone Greece, depending on the tariff you are on this may even work out cheaper than roaming.
