I'm begging Vodafone for the MCK code for my S9

On 24 September I requested the MCK code for my S9. The S9 is out of contract, replaced with a new handset. I wanted to pass my S9 onto my step daughter as her first phone. I requested the NUC on 22 September but Vodafone supplied the NUC for the new handset. Unfortunately, I didn't know this so I entered it into the S9 which then locked it. It is now asking for the MCK. I have had numerous Twitter conversations and telephone conversations with Vodafone but still, over a month on, still no MCK! The last operator claimed he'd be able to get it within 48 hours and I'd have it by 27 October. Nope. He also offered me £80 compensation but I don't want that... I WANT THE MCK CODE TO UNLOCK MY PHONE!! He also claimed that Vodafone has made 3 previous attempts to get the MCK code (his being the 4th) but they couldn't get it from Samsung.

I have no idea where to go from here. All I want to do is put a PAYG SIM in the S9 but Vodafone are holding my handset to ransom. They are now refusing to reply to my twitter messages. I'm now having to look at legal action because I can't get a word or help out of Vodafone and my handset is sat, useless on my nightstand. Surely there is some trading standards being breached here as they won't assist to unlock the phone or allow me to use the out of contract phone on another network. After entering once when Vodafone sent the wrong NUCAfter entering once when Vodafone sent the wrong NUC

I appreciate your frustrated and unimpressed with your situation.

I'd suggest to ask the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries for support.

However if a phone has had the Nuc entred too many times which hard locks the phone then the phones counter needs resetting which can only be achieved by Vodafone sending the phone away to be reset.

A Mck is typically needed as well as the Nuc to unlock some Samsung phones @Strictly_CJ

I did only enter the NUC provided once so was shocked when it just locked. I'm really annoyed that the phone may have to be sent away, no one has mentioned this to me from Vodafone or even offered. They just keep resending the NUC for my new handset. They seem to not be reading my request & subsequent complaints fully.

I will give the link a go, thank you!! 😊

If you've only entered the Nuc once then it shouldn't be hard locked @Strictly_CJ

The MCK also known as an unfreeze code should help this as soon as Vodafone get this for you.

The Vodafone Social Media Teams can get this too.
