Unlocking iphone 6s, carphone warehouse bought, vodafone contract phone

Hello!

I am trying to unlock my iphone 6s (bought from carphone warehouse but vodafone contract). I submitted the unlocking form and got an email to say I haven't used my SIM for 30 days however I have because I have used the same SIM for 2 years. 

How do I get an unlock code for my phone?

I have paid for a check on the phone & have an apple status report which states it is locked to Vodafone, but according to customer services there is no record of it on Vodafones  system so there is nothing they weill or can do. Carphone warehouse are not interested & state the phone is locked to Vodafone as dies the phone itself. According to a third party unlock company they can release the code for another 50quid, it's already cost me 20 to find out where it is locked to plus a few hours of my life hanging on the road phone - am not a happy bunny!
