Has anyone has issues when switching from another network to Vodafone and using an esim. I ordered online where it says to order an esim as it saves on plastic and postage etc. They have now disconnected me from my old provider to then tell me a physical sim is required to then activate me esim! Doesn’t this defeat the point?! Then told it was 3 days for delivery. The nearest store is 40 minutes away and won’t be open before I start work and will be closed by the time I’ve finished! False advertising!

Unfortunately we've seen quite a few posts in regards to eSim problems on Vodafone's side @mhall96
There might be some help and advice in previous threads which should be available via a forum search.
From https://www.vodafone.co.uk/help-and-information/esim it clearly states "
Change providers without needing to order a physical SIM
"
Perhaps have a word with the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Facebook Messenger or Twitter DM to see if they can advise.

Hey @mhall96 I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the service before you've even got going with us! It's definitely not the experience we ever want anyone to have when they join us.
As @BandOfBrothers mentioned, we are aware of an ongoing issue with the eSIM activation process and we are investigating it thoroughly so we can provide a resolution. In the meantime, please follow the link that @BandOfBrothers posted and pop over to the Social Media team so we can help with your case further.
