Mobile Phone showing a different number when i send a message

Hiya, hope someone can help.

Recently purchased a IPHONE 11 and transferred my number from EE to Vodafone. This issue is that when i message some people it is showing the Vodafone new number and not my old number that i transferred over. This does not happen with everyone.

This may have something to do with iMessage and you may have more luck on the iOS board (this is Android).

When Vodafone supplied the sim it may have had a temporary number assigned to it while they ported in your own number from your previous network.

If that's the case then a sim swap which moves your number and tariff to a blank sim card may help @Sogstar 

A blank sim needs to be ordered via customer services or picked up from a Vodafone Highstreet Store when they reopen.

Hi @Sogstar! In your phone, please go to Settings > Phone > My Number > Delete whatever is in there currently (even if it's the correct number) > Fill in the correct phone number > Save > Restart your Phone.

This should fix your problem. If it doesn't, please pop our Social Media team a message, and they can investigate your account to make sure the number transfer went through correctly for you 🙂
