Hi. After waiting for a Miui upgrade for over a year Vodafone has rolled one out today. I've done the upgrade and I am unable to enable my SIM card and hence unable to make calls. Any ideas? TIA

Hi everyone, thanks so much for flagging and rest assured this is something we've been working on with the manufacturer to get you all connected to what you love again.
To keep you all updated, Xiaomi have advised that a patch is going through final testing through their side and we're looking to verify this from our side today.
All going well, this patch should be with you over the next few days, by next week at the very latest.
Please don't try any troubleshooting steps such as a factory reset or arranging a repair of the phone as once the software is out, this will resolve things for you.
Once we have confirmation that the fix is working and when it can be released, we'll let you know ASAP here.

Just got an update to 11.0.4.0 which I've downloaded and installed. Unfortunately the only thing it has achieved is the SIM to be found but I still have "Emergency calls only" and no network bars. Along with a mobile network state of "Disconnected".

Update 11.0.4.0 I think is the old one. APN settings greyed out so did factory reset and now have access to those settings and am on the vodafone network. I'm assuming that there will be another patch still and I've just got the one others had on Friday.

I just got the update 11.0.4 now but still I cannot make calls as the mobile network and SIM are not recognized. All the SIM card & Mobile networks stuff is greyed out and I'm extremely reluctant to do a factory reset. I sincerely hope there is another update coming because I'm fed up on how long we're having to wait for our phones to get back to normal. Whether it's Vodafone or Xiaomi's fault I just want it sorted! Anyone know if we're entitled to any compensation??

Ive just update to 11.0.4.0 QFAEUVF. Made no differnce at all. Frustrated is an understatment.

I hope it's a different update coming out because that update was from last week and doesn't work. This is a joke, lack of communication from Vodafone makes it even more infuriating.

Latest upgrade version is v11.0.6.0 QFAMIXM and is freely available. - you just need to get the phone to search again for updates.
Vodafone sent me out a new phone last week which works just fine on version 10. Till such time this software update works I'll stick with that - it would be like the cybermen on Dr Who talking about an 'upgrade'!
