Hi Snook,
I'd certainly suggest trying out the latest VMC software to check that there's nothing there affecting your connection. It's also something our tech teams will suggest if you're still having issues.
Can you also confirm if the sick gives the same result when tried in a different location? This will help to rule out if the network is still having issues.

Hi Snook,
New buildings you say? It's possible they may bne having an effect if they're in the line of your local transmitter. Happy to have a look where they are for you to see if that sheds some light. If, as is suggested, Frank21 is in a similar area and the issue is resolved for him, then this could be the answer.
Assuming that the postcode in your profile is correct, it is a bit of a patchwork, but that's not that strange for London. The 3G cell which generally provides the strongest signal for your immediate area is located down Caledonian Street near Wharfdale Road and Kings Cross Station. There is a nearer one where Caledonian crosses the canal, but that generally is the strongest signal in the area to the south and a small patch near yourself. There is another cellsite providing the area just East of you, which is located just past the Business Design Centre. As with much of London, there is an overlap of signals, but iof the strongest one is iunavailable for ahny reason then the others taking the load may have less signal generally available, especially the further away you get.
Does this match with any of the building work you've seen at all - where has that been, and what sort of buildings are they exactly? None of the sites mentioned aboveshow as having an issue on my systems. That said, I am aware that we have had some issues with 3G in the general London area of late which are under investigation, so this may also be affecting you.
I'm conbfident that, whatever the cause, we can get to the bottom of this for you.

The Vodafone Sure Signal is an option if you have a broadband connection at home.
