hi just to know what is the correct apn settings?

mine had Contract WAP as default but no internet access since number ported.

Today customer service said my APN shoubld be Vodafone WAP, but still no luck to access mobile data.

Anybody know what can I do, no mobile data for 1 month...

My device is sony z3, I tried with web to 40127, but it gives me Contract WAP which never works.

Interesting thing is Vodafone WAP only works for 1 website, google. I can't access other website or other data service.

Hi there

What device are you using? Have you tried texting the word WEB to 40127? That usually gets the correct settings onto your device.

Hi Guys, do we read the whole post before responding.

The Op has already texted for setting.

Looks like issue with porting.

I would remove the SIM and switch on the phone. Then put the SIM and switch on again. It might just kick start and function.

If not then would go to the nearest Vodafone and get a new SIM. The SIM swap might help.

already did sim swap, but no luck.

but I would like to check if my APN settings are correct or not.

Please confirm what phone / operating system your using.

For example -> Android APN settings for Vodafone from Geeksquad are.

Paying particular attention to the pay monthly and Payg specific settings.

Tap the Menu button
Tap Settings
Tap Wireless and networks or More... (depending on your version of Android)
Tap Mobile Networks
Tap Access point names
Tap the Menu button
Tap New APN
Enter the following data into the onscreen form, without changing any other settings;

APN - internet (PAYG - pp.vodafone.co.uk)
Username - web (PAYG - wap)
Password - web (PAYG - wap)
MMSC - http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy - 212.183.137.12
MMS Port - 8799
Authentication type - PAP
APN type - If given a choice, select internet+mms, if the keyboard appears enter *
(As a check, the image below shows blue text in the fields you should have completed)
Tap the Menu button
Tap Save
Enable the newly-added APN by ensuring the line is ticked, or the radio button is lit by tapping on it
Check the notification bar for 4G, H, 3G, E or G with up and down arrows beside it, which will indicate your connection is working

I'm with Getafix: this is almost certainly a porting issue and I wouldn't waste any more time on APNs - if you have Contract WAP, it should work.

Porting takes places in stages and, although it usually completes within 24 hours, some parts occasionally stick.   If your previous provider hasn't released all the files, or one is corrupt, Vodafone won't be able to apply them.   Customer Services will normally suggest you wait up to 7 days so, if it's still not working after that, get onto them and ask them to give it a nudge.
