Any idea of demand for the 6s & plus so far?

Just wanting to gauge how popular the new launch is at present. So we can have an idea if orders will be fulfilled?

The 6s plus is quoting 3 - 4 weeks delivery from now on the Apple web site 

The 6s is 2 to 3 weeks from now

Yikkies.. didn;t realise it would be that popular. Shades of the 6 launch!.

I think that the launch of the 6s is proving to be just as popular as the 6, and the 6s plus more popular than the 6ss or Apple has once again been caught napping. I also read that the 6s plus has been having production problems and that accounts for the extended lead times.

Hopefully the 6S Plus wont have the same issues as the 6 Plus:

Bendgate - shouldn't with the new aluminium cover.

Camera - recalled the early batch. 

Apple really need to be careful as they are starting to loose out to the rivals. Better to delay the yearly launch and have perfect working devices then rush to get them out.

Bendgate like antennagate with the 4 was pretty much made up by the press. 

The annual launches are extremely important to Apple as the value of its shares depends on getting out new products that analysis believe will meet or exceed stock market expectation. These things are all drives by finances, share price, earnings per share and the cost of capital.

A shortage in supply is marketing strategy at its best from Apple. On the surface, it may seem that it isnt a great idea but all it does is make consumers want the product more as it appears that the devices are in high demand. 

Glad i got my 6s+ order in quick, looking forward to the new release!!

All designer manufacturers artificially control supply to increase demand and prices.

But Apple is in the market of mass manufacturing and selling and thus this is a strategy they are highly unlikely to follow. It would make no business sense for them whatsoever as their share price will depend very much in the next quarter's financial results and thus they will want to maximise their revenues. As Apple historically doesn't pay dividends, investors have had to reply on capital gains through a growth in the price of Apple stock.

The early iPhone 6 was used with 6000 series  aluminium was is used in many applications and bend before reinforced 40 lbs, weak points was power switch and volume rocker, and only affected a few iPhones, was taken by the press and anti Apple people has a fault, until a third party tested other smart phones, like Samsung galaxy edge, and the S6, found that these phones also bent at the magic number 40 lbs, difference with the phones unlike the iPhone's these stopped working,  a different party, got the cases of iPhone 6 these was confirmed, at the 40lbs, then also got the back plate of the iPhone 6s which uses 7000 series aluminium the phone started to bend at 80lbs.
