Being charged for free Spotify Premium

I had an upgrade in August and was told I would get Spotify for free until July 2019. Unsuprisingly, I was billed for it in September. Spoke to customer "services" and was told that I wouldn't be charged from now on and my October bill would have the cost credited. Even more unsuprisingly, I've just received my October bill and - wait for it - have been charged again for Spotify, and no reimbursement for the Spetmeber charge. So I'm now £20 out of pocket.

I am sick and tired of this. Firstly, there's Vodafone's trademark ineptitude over billing and charging. Secondly, the constant lies told by their agents. I've been with them 20 years, and this kind of scenario occurs with monotonous and predictable regularity.

Please credit my account with £20 immediately, and stop charging me for Spotify. You know, like you promised in August and September.

when you set up the spotify did you set it up on wifi or on your own 4G dat? if you did it via wifi then thats maybe why you have been charged cause you have to set the red entertainment on your own 4G network, then once you have set it up you can use wifi all you want

Thanks Ross. No idea TBH. I'm more concerned that they haven't refunded me and are still billing me when they said it would stop. They also said they would get rid of Secure Net on all my phones, and that hasn't happened either. Shock.

I had a similar but different issue where I was given a credit, however, for some reason it wasn't then connected a future bill and then sat in limbo. When I rang customer services they could see it and attached it to my latest bill to use it up.  It maybe worth a call to customer service to see if the same has happened. Mine was resolved in no time.  Hope yours is as simple.

Thanks A. I had a call earlier and they've guaranteed my next bill will be creited, and that I won't be charged again. Fingers crossed!

Hopefully that's sorted now. Often it comes down to getting someone who knows how to drive their IT system!
