Hi there,
I have just bought a new pay-as-you-go SIM for a Blackberry Bold. It says I am on the WiFi, but I cannot register my email account on the phone to receive emails.
It says 'Activation request failed. A service connection is unavailable.'
Any help on this appreciated!

Have you for the BIS service running on your account?
The eaiest way to tell is by the 3G or GPRS indicator. If they are in upper case (i.e. 3G or GPRS) BIS is running. If they are in lower case (3g/gprs) BIS isn't running and none of the internet relating functions will work.
