How do I get rid of Call+ and stop it's updates?

If the phone was supplied by Vodafone then it'll be a Branded Handset and have some network apps and features baked in. 

You could try going into Settings-Apps- and force stop it and if it'll allow it uninstall. 

If not then there are Package Disablers in the Play Store that will help but be careful on what you disable.

You will need to uninstall the application from the phone and delete the application from the Play Store to delete from your Google account. As soon as this has been done, you will receive no further updates.

As it's a built in to the stock firmware, the only option is to go to, Settings > Apps > Call+ & Message+ and select DISABLE This will uninstall all updates and hide the app from your phone, to reinstate the app just select ENABLE.
