For about the last month, whenever I make or receive a call, it will on about 60% of the time drop out at any point.  Also, people say that the quality of the line is really bad.  I have a vodafone SS.

Please help.

Good Afternoon billythefish1,

Thanks for supplying the details.

Everything in the results looks absolutely fine so we now need to find out if there is a fault with the Sure Signal.

Could you please try it at a different location (friend, family member) and let us know if the issue persists?

Thanks,

Kay

Good morning!

Just adding my experience this message. I am an owner of an Iphone 4S as well and ever since the ios 6.0 upgrade a large proportion of my calls routed through my Sure Signal drop out. The only time that the fault went away was after the Ios 6.1 update(funny though since that was the update that Vodafone recommended Iphone 4S users not to install). I can say about the pattern of the fault or the frequency but all I can say is that having more than of Sure Signal boxes V2 at different locations they all seem to give me the same fault.

And before anyone rushes to say that the handset is at fault : no it is not as I do not get dropped calls out side Sure Signal coverage unless I have poor signal

Hi alextypaldos,

There's no specific issue with iPhone5 and Sure Signal - I have the same set up myself at home, and many users have posted to say theirs works.

Can you confirm the serial number of your Sure Signal? Also, do you have any other phones which are connecting successfully to it?

Dave

Hi Dave ,

Firstly I want to say that I am talking about the Iphone 4S(which recently Voda+Apple had admitted it was experiencing problems on 3G, hence the update 6.1.1).

I am experiencing the same problem with two separate Sure Signal boxes Version 2, at different locations, with different service providers and different routers. No other users are experiencing any problems(unfortunately no one else uses an iphone 4s over the sure signal)

Serial num:40110903024 and 40110730526

There is no pattern to it, there is no specific frequency or anything. It is completely random. It all started with the 6.0 IOS update. The only one that worked fine was the the short lived ios6.1

Thank you.

Hi alextypaldos,

Can you confirm if you are running 6.1.2 or if you are still running 6.1?

As this happens on two different Sure Signals in different locations it would indicate that the problem is either with the SIM or the handset rather than the Sure Signal itself.

If you are already running version 6.1.2 of software, I would recommend popping into your local Vodafone store to get a new SIM and after 24 hours seeing if you are still getting the same issue.
