Hi, First post and this is to do with the 'Manging Sure Signal' portion of the Vodafone website rather than the hardware but to me it's all the same. When I go to add a user I get the error message shown below. Means nowt to me even though I've worked in It for the last 30+ years ....! Is it a web site/Vodafone database error? Or an error due to some security measures I take on my system (running the Maxthon browser on XP Pro with all security patches - yeah, I know .....). Thanks in advance. Dave

I could maybe add an exception - IF I knew what the exception(s) was (were). It fails with both the Maxthon browser and Internet Explorer. As far as I can see it's just a website asking me to input and confirm a user/number. What can possible be required that produces the error messages I posted? At the end of the day any "secret sauce" will be behind the scenes on the sever side, completely divorced from the website user.
Please tell me what I need to do?
Oh, the other thing is that I've done this (albeit infrequently) in the past and all worked. So something has changed.

Nope. I use Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) so I turned off 'Real Time protection'. Same issue. I then killed the 'MsMpEng.exe' process and still the same issue. So a) it doesn't seem to be tied to the security SW I use and b) there is NO reason on earth why it should. As I said above, all I'm doing on the Vodafone website is submitting a phone number/name. That should not produce any sort of error message (apart from 'number in wrong format/not enough digits' etc) and if an error is produced why does your website SW not catch it and produce a meaningful comment for my attention?
Could you please answer my questions and speak to your website engineers to find out when/how this error can be caused? You must have some sort of internal 'bugs/issues' database which could contain this problem.
Thanks
Dave

Have been having same problem with adding users to Sure SIgnal for the last week or so. Message received is "technical problem" and it keeps on recurring. I have tried all the suggestions including using a different browser, clearing the browsing history, clearing all cookies, disabing Norton Internet security etc. but nothing works.
Interestingly, called into local Vodafone shop yesterday to complain about another problem related to unacceptable two week delay in porting a number to a new Vodafone PAYG account, having called to complain four times and been told on each occasion "it will happen tomorrow", to be told that they couldn't help me and that they could only tell me that Vodafone were having massive technical IT issues.
My wife and I joined Vodafone for the Sure Signal as we have almost no signal where we now live. All the Vodafone people we have talked to are very nice and very helpful but sadly have been totally ineffective. It seems that the only way to get any attention is to elevate requests to formal complaints.

Appreciate the comments BJF, seems I'm not the only one then .... 😞 Though I didn't think I was somehow ...
For the benefit of Matt_B I have replied to the private message you sent with the information asked for. Though how much use that's going to be I'm not sure ..... Sorry about the delay getting back, we've had rellies down!

Here we are two weeks after I escalated the problem to Vodafone customer support and having done so again several times since then - despite their promises to resolve this issue for me "tomorrow", it remains unresolved and I am still unable to add my family to my Sure Signal box. I'm beginning to think that buying a £100 Sure Signal box was simply a waste of my money!
