After being with Vodafone for over 10 years I have to say I have never had such awful customer service to a point where I now feel I have no choice but to voice my concern.
Two years ago I upgraded the 3 contracts I had, to brand new handsets to what were okay deals. This seems to be the norm with vodafone as new buisiness has always been there priority. So from this you would assume all three would end at the same time! No, one came out of contract over a month ago another today (which has increased by £4 pm with no warning and I cannot be bothered to query why, and the third in October. To which I get the responcse as below:-
Phone call one, I cancel the first contract. I am greeted with the usual why would you like to cancel. I explain issues I had upgrading 2years ago and how I have found a better deal elsewhere, and also with vodafone if I was a new customer! Operator offers a deal of unlimited mins,txts and 4GB data at £42pm for the S8. I am a little insulted if honest as husband has already been offered all of the above with 16GB data for £37pm. Operator remains silent and only responds on my word as they seem to think such a deal does not exist. He arranges to send pac code and I feel no point in expressing my concern over the other two contracts as I have to call on the 15th to cancel number 2.
Phone call two. I am greeted with another happy individual happy to help. After explaining why I want to cancel contract number two and how I am confused over the end date of 3, he agrees that they should end at the same time and he will speak to IT to resolve. Great I am one step closer to getting the service I feel I deserve as a loyal longstanding customer. He comes back and explains I have to call at the end of September to cancel the contract and they might be able to offer a credit as he agrees they should all end at the same time, but they only deal with upgrades and not billing. He will arrange to cancel contract two. I am again offered the same disapointing deal.
I am now unsure where to go as your customer services department in the past have never taken any complaint I have raised seriously.
