This morning my SS box (v3) is dead. No lights, nothing. I've tried all the reset options, changing the socket, no success. No mobile reception here, despite it showing a strong signal on the Vodafone map, making life very difficult since I work at home and we have 4 lines with V. Can anyone help please...

Hi there
It sounds like the unit is faulty and will need to be repaired / replaced. You can arrange this by calling customer services on 191. As you have poor signal and may not be able to dial the short code, you can also call them on 03333 040 191 from any UK phone

Just to expand on @drey_p's answer; the VSS comes with a 2 year warranty, if it's less than 2 years old you can expect the repair/replacement to be free. beyond 2 years and you'll need to purchase a new one.

This has been an ongoing issue since 2013 and Vodafone refuse to accept there is a design issue and if you open yours up you will see evidence of burning and damaged component as well as a odour of burnt electronics.
Lots more information here:
PLEASE REPORT YOUR FAILED UNIT TO THE BBC Watchdog program here for further investigation and it is important you do so regardless of whether you have been offered a replacement, whether in warranty ot outside it.
Vodafone have already agreed with Trading Standards to replace any device regardless of warranty status although you may now find they are out of stock!!
Please take 5 minutes to report it as it is a common failure and they refuse to accept it...
NABS - YOUR ADVICE THAT BEYOND 2 YEARS IS INCORRECT REGARDING SURESIGNAL 3 WITH BURN OUT ISSUES - ALL UNITS WILL BE REPLACED IRRESPCTIVE OF WARRANTY.
It is important to report all failed SureSignal V3 using the links below to:
