Deregister Sure Signal

Hi, I have recently moved my business to another network and as such I want to deactivate my Sure Signal, as my new network is able to give me coverage at home without a box!

I can't log in anymore to do this as my account is no longer active.

I want to sell the box on ebay but need it off their system before I can do this.

Thanks

I have purchased a sure signal and since found it is already registered to another postcode how do i get it deregistered so i can use it

Due to data protection, only the original owner whose account it is registered against can have it deregistered.  If you know the original owner and providing still a Vodafone customer, this can quickly do this through the online account.

unfortunatly i bought it from ebay some months ago and have only just got around to trying to set it up so im unsure if i can contact them

If you are unable to contact the previous owner, there will be nothing that Vodafone can do, only the previous owner whose account it is registered against can deregister the device.

There have been previous threads on the forum, here is one which has been answered by a member of the Tech Team.

I have tried to contact the person i bought the sure signal from via ebay but too much time has gone by and ebay cant give me thier details and they dont seem to be responding to my emails.

I dont understand why "due to data protection" vodaphone cant contact the previous owner to confirm that you can deregister this sure signal box. There would be no information given out to me.

The Sure Signal is still registered to the previous owner, Vodafone would be be severe breech of data protection is they accessed the previous users information without permission.

If you cannot contact the previous owner who registered the Sure Signal, there will not be anything Vodafone will be able to do to help.

It would be a severe breach for vodaphone to look into thier own records and contact their own customer im sure you would do it quick enough if they owed you money!!

I only bought this as the vodaphone signal at home is so bad i cant even recieve a text and your post code checker says it should be excellent here. The price of the boxes is too high hence buying it second hand how about i send the sure signal box to you and you provided me with an exchange box as its obvious the previous owner no longer uses vodaphone(which is where i will probably be soon) and then no data has been breached.

I would hope you would not seriously be suggesting that Vodafone act illegally and breech data protection laws by accessing the previous users information.

I have not suggested anything apart from a sensible solution to the problem of which you seem too quick to ignore.

Okay, sorry about that, haven't used the forum before so didn't know the procedure.

Thanks.

Hi can anyone please help me with deregistering a sure signal?
