Any ideas why this is?
Ive tried everything (different browsers/firewalls etc)
But the Chat feature of Facebook does not work on Vodafone mobile broadband.
It doesnt work on both my laptop and desktop, it loads up fine, but as soon as you open a message window everyone appears offline.
I know this is a problem with mobile broadband because it worked fine on my previous "proper" broadband connection. Any help is appreciated

Hi Rockstar2010,
Hmmm, how strange
. I know that this isn't a problem that affects all Mobile Broadband users, as I've been able to use this myself on a Vodafone Mobile Broadband connection. I suspect that this may be caused by the optimisation settings in the VMC (Vodafone Mobile Connect) software.
In order to rectify this I would firstly recommend downloading the latest version of VMC from this link:VMC version 9.4.6. That may resolve the issue without the need to have to do anything else, if it doesn't though you'll just need to disable optimisation as follows:
Press Start
Select Control Panel.
Select classic view from the left hand side.
Select add and remove programs(XP)/Programs and Features(Vista).
Select Vodafone Mobile Connect and choose Change.
Select modify.
When presented with a choice between standard and custom, select custom.
Remove the selection for optimization.
Install as normal.
Let me know how you get on with that
.

It could also be something to do with content control, try visiting a site like national-lottery.co.uk. If you can't get to that either get content control lifted and see if that sorts out the facebook chat.
