Hi peeps, I have S8 on a preorder and was wondering how good Vodafone actually is with fullfilling preorders. Promise of "get it 8 days early"(I know it's just a marketing spin) means it should be here on the 20th. Who else is waiting for a delivery?

I'm still waiting.... Ordered 31st March and still no sign of it...... Like someone else i think they never reserved one .... It's just unbelievable.... When the managers 'listened' ...to my sales calls the broken promises that were said don't equate to any good will although they are happy to charge me an additional £15 for the upgraded package which to mind is half delivered but hey what do i know....

Pro-orders always go wrong!! Yes they shouldn't but i don't think I've ever been part of a pre-order that has gone completely to plan. Everyone that ordered there phones up to a couple of days ago will at least get them on 28th or not long after! Only now has the website changed to say you won't get them on 28th. So yes it's not what most of us wanted but at least we will still get it for the official launch. I don't think Samsung expected it to be so popular especially after the note 7 so i think it's just caught everyone out.

Extremely happy S8+ owner here, I dont know why I left Android for Win 10 now but with the little bit of interaction with Android and MS we now have Office apps that work straight out of the box, the phone itself is a work of art and ticks every box, I have even done a test on unlocking using fingerprint scanner to see if it was as bad as the media makes out and no I never touch the camera lens, its close but once you know wher it is your finger finds it every time, the infinity display is the best display I have ever seen, played some videos and it is just awesome, overall, Samsung have a winner in this phone and Apple now have to play catch up

Well I managed to get through to one of the small business managers earlier, who admitted that they never ordered my phone when I pre-ordered on the 2nd April and my order was only placed on the 20th after My initial complaint. However they have set up the direct debit and taken the first payment!
Also so told me that they had sent me a number of texts to explain the situation, which were to my new Vodafone number which isn't even activated yet.
He then told me that pre-orders were only available for delivery on the 20th if ordered on the 19th before 9pm, but any that any phones ordered before the 19th would be delivered on the 28th. Total ##~## and a different story every time I speak to some one.
Order is now placed for Friday delivery but as I'm away for two weeks on Thursday it will be 3 weeks before I get the phone. Told them the the order will be cancelled if the phone doesn't arrive before I go away, but doubt that will make any difference.

I pre ordered an S8+ on the 31st March. I'm still at stage 2 on the tracking status.
I pre ordered the Note 7 weeks before release too and Vodafone completed missed the order, Which I suppose turned out to be a bonus. :smileyvery-happy:
Way I look at it is Im expecting there to be a ##~## up ...But if I does turn up on time, result as I have Firday off to play with a new device.
Good luck people.

i've just had an hour with customer service.... to cut a long story short as someone who ordered the S8+ on the 31st March i wont be someone (as per what is currently being promised on their website) getting their device tomorrow (20th April).
Its the Note 7 all over again......

So long story short, those who ordered it early won't be getting it.
Typical. Probably going to let some tech news sites know to let others be Informed unless an official confirmation can be made.
