Hi peeps, I have S8 on a preorder and was wondering how good Vodafone actually is with fullfilling preorders. Promise of "get it 8 days early"(I know it's just a marketing spin) means it should be here on the 20th. Who else is waiting for a delivery?

it's a bit different in my situation as I've been using a courtesy phone since 14/03/17...5 full weeks, waiting for my new handset as replacement phone offered by repair centre wasn't even close in specs to the handset sent out for repair. That's why it's so frustrating.
I've had an email as well, delivery scheduled for the 20th....I don't mind getting it friday or saturday.
I fully agree. There are different circumstances but you have some people on here complaining because they didn't get it when they want it.

Got email from dpd saying delivery scheduled for tomorrow. Spoke to Vodafone on livechat to get dpd tracking number. Tracking says parcel is on its way to my local dpd delivery centre. It also says I'll get it on Friday. I live in the sticks so that figures. Still on stage 2 on Vodafone. I only ordered mine 3 days ago, so I'm impressed.

yup, to me it would be a different story with a normal renewal. I was forced to use my work phone in the meantime (windows phone, so half of the apps I use daily are not even supported, either that or Vodafone Smart III that can't be even called a smartphone).
Happy days if it comes tomorrow, if not it doesn't really matter as at least I know it's getting out of the warehouse tonight.

Just had a email and now a text off DPD saying they have my Vodafone order and will deliver it tomorrow

Hmm, my dpd tracking number is now saying "error retrieving your parcel details". Nightmare!

Same here @daginge1978 just gone on to check and getting the error but the dpd app is still working on my phone

After hours on the phone to customer services today i placed a new "pre order" (originally ordered and confirmed on 30 March) and was assured given their previous ##~## up that it would be despatched today and twice told it would be delivered between 8am and 6pm tomorrow.
Again, order reference isn't even recognised as valid on VF order tracking. No email. No DPD text.
Going to go nuclear on VF if not delivered tomorrow. Not because im desperate for the phone but because im fed up with Customer Services having been involved in tbe whole Note 7 debacle and a previous dispute.
Im hoping to wake tomorrow up with a promising text!
