Galaxy S8+ preorder

Hi peeps, I have S8 on a preorder and was wondering how good Vodafone actually is with fullfilling preorders. Promise of "get it 8 days early"(I know it's just a marketing spin) means it should be here on the 20th. Who else is waiting for a delivery?

Also everyone that has recieved theirs of you dont mind me asking what colour did you order and what date did you order it on?

I ordered the S8 in Orchid grey on 8th April. Got it this morning.

Black S8+ , ordered on the 7th (I've been promised to get a priority on my order though)

Black S8 ordered on 16th April.  Currently at my local dpd delivery centre,  being delivered tomorrow. 

Thanks guys, think I will just have to accept it's not coming for a while yet. I'm so impatient with things like this, it was bad enough having to wait for the 20th

I’m new to Vodafone, having decided to move from Three to a new Vodafone Business Premier plan with the Galaxy S8+. So far the whole process has been a total shambles and customer service is appalling. Pretty sure if I treated my customers like this,  I’d be out of business by now.

 

So I originally pre-ordered on the 2nd April for in store pick-up on the 20th. Got to the store yesterday and was informed that the phone hadn’t been delivered. I asked to check the order details and they couldn’t find them on the system and said that I’d have to speak to Vodafone directly.  I phoned Vodafone, and after speaking to 3 different people, over the space of an hour,  was told that they couldn’t access store orders on their system and  I’d have to take it up with the store?  Last night I decided to try the live chat, who eventually managed to confirm the order number and told me it would be delivered today.

 

Went up to the store just now and was told that the phone wasn’t ordered until yesterday evening and the earliest possible delivery would now be the 28th, if there is stock!  Spoke to Vodafone again by phone, and just when I thought I was finally getting somewhere, and supposed to be getting put through to a manager,  I was put on hold for the 3rd time and my call went back to the start and treated like a totally new call.  Unbelievably, the new operator tried to tell me that the phone hadn’t been released yet and they wouldn’t be taking any orders until the end of the month!  

 

Total Joke TBH and think the best option here is to just cancel.

 

Has anyone that's received their phones had the red tint issue?

No red tint on mine, just a... very dead looking SIM card. Or something. No identifying information from it in the S8's settings. No mobile data, no connection. It's not the best area for a data signal here, but... absolutely nothing from the SIM. Hmm. I'm not sure if I've missed a step or what! I took the old one out of my S5 just in case it was causing problems (mini-SIM, so can't just plop it in the S8), but no dice.

Normally if you received a new sim with your phone it will be dead unless you transfer it over!! As your old sim was a different size you'll need to do this.
