I have recently installed a Home Hub 5 and can't get it to work with my Sure Signal 1.  I have forwarded ports 8, 50, 53, 1723 (TCP & UDP) 67, 68, 123, 500, 1723, 4500, 33434 – 33445 (UDP) as per technical support at Vodafone but it still doesn't work.  Solutions please?

Try enabling the Port Clamping option under Broadband -> VPN

This may need the port forwarding disabling, but try with both in place.

I tried that earlier without success; do I need to reset the VSS?

It woudn't hurt you do a reset, remember it could take a good few hours to re-configure itself though.

A full reset on a SS1 would be press and hold the reset button for 20 seconds.

Keeping it pressed, remove the power, wait 20 seconds

Still keeping it press, put the power back in, and then in roughly 20 more seconds all the lights on the unit will flash.

Release the reset button.

OK thaks, I'll let it do it's thing and see what happens

@Travic Please can you let us know if you're still having this issue?

If you are, please take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?
