Hi Stefan8271,
If you’ve reset your phone and updated against the network, try checking to see if there are any updates to iOS 7 for your phone.
If not, your issue may be network related.
To check this, take a look here.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi, I have been having all the same problems with my iphone 5.
It seemed to have started not long after the ios 7 update. I had my handset replaced in December by Apple to see if that was the problem, all seemed good for about 4 weeks then the problems have reoccurred. I contacted vodafone who said the only thing we hadn't done was to replace the sim which we did this week. All was good for a couple of days then back to calls going straight to voicemail, no missed calls showing and also texts not coming though then all coming at once. I contacted Apple support who suggested I restored my phone to a new iphone and took all the apps etc off. My phone was fine for 24 hours, the follow up call from apple confirmed all was ok so all my old apps etc were reloaded. All was good for another 24 hours but it is now back to missing the calls.
It resets itself if I turn it on and off, or turn on and off the wifi and 3g. It has been missing calls this morning and even when I call myself from the landline. I have just made a call on my mobile and it also seems to have reset it and I can receive incoming calls again.
I am going mad with it as I rely on being contactable with small children at school. It is intermittent and you do not know if someone can get hold of you or not. Please can Apple and Vodafone sort this out?!!
I am going to get back to Apple with my problem but maybe someone here from Vodafone can help too?

Glad to see my wife and I are not the only ones having this issue.
I have tried everything Vodafone have suggested, new sim, resetting the phone, changing settings, I decided to do a full factory reset and still no different.
I have had the phone tested by Apple and there are no faults on the phone. So I went off to my local Vodafone shop who have booked me in with their tech guy for Friday lunch time..... I have little to no confidence in this being of any use as it is a sporadic problem, some days it works, some days I only know people have called me when voicemail rings in, which can be anywhere form straight away to 2 hours later...
where do we stand on cancelling our contrats based on this fault? Vodafone don't want to take responsibility for this problem and are just blaming Apple, apple test the phone and it is returning no network or handset issues on their diagnostics...
The curve ball is that my mother has this issue and she doesn't have an iPhone.
Sick and tired of going between the two of you and getting nowhere.

Hi pennym,
You’ve already tried everything I’d have suggested but I did notice one thing.
Before you reloaded all your apps, you mentioned your phone was working fine then once they were restored, your phone developed the same fault.
I’d suggest trying a full restore of your phone again and then if it works, add your apps back one at a time.
There may be a rogue app that’s causing the issue for you.
If this doesn’t work, you’d need to send the phone for repair.
Hi MotoGT,
Let us know how you get on once you’ve visited the store.
If they do find an issue, they’ll be able to send your phone for repair there and then.
You’ve mentioned that your mother has this issue; do you use any of the same apps on the phones?
This may indicate where the fault lies.
Cheers,
Andy

Hi Andy,
Thanks for your advice. I have now deleted the apps just in case but it seems that I had not given the phone long enough to develop the fault again. Within the 48 hours it had a problem.
I have been in touch with one of your tech team today
who is looking into the problem.
One thing I have noticed is that my phone does not seem to be 'updating' not sure it that is the right term but when I call *#102# the top time and date is not changing. It was up to date on the day that Apple re did my phone, dated the 7th Feb but has not changed at all since then. Today my phone was redone by the Vodafone tech guy and the date is for today, this morning. We are waiting to see if it updates tomorrow as this could be part of the problem? Apparenlty it should change every 24 hours at least?

Hi guys,
pennym - That could be the issue. Let us know how you get on.
For both of you, I'd suggest taking a look at our network troubleshooter. There may be issues with the local signal which we can look into for you.

3 different areas all with the same problem.
Your trouble shooter says that all is fine, no planned or routine maintenance happening and I should be getting signal inside and out.

The engineer that I spoke to late yesterday afternoon did say they were fitting a new mast in my area and work would be completed last night. The vodafone website did not say there was any maintenance in this area. My phone was playing up yesterday but so far today is ok. The date and time has also updated. I am keeping a close eye on it as sometimes it takes 48 hours to display the problems but hopefully it is sorted. My problem has been on going since December with a phone change and sim card change inbetween.

Hi MotoGP,
It is possible that there are separate faults in the areas.
You can check here for all site issues that we’re aware of.
If nothing shows up for the affected areas, follow step 7 on the troubleshooting thread here.
We can certainly check everything is OK at a network level for you.
Contact us here.
Hi pennym,
Let us know how you go on when you’ve spoken with Apple.
Hi minibelle, JoelClarke and jeffkinn,
Thanks for the advice and information you’ve given.
Cheers,
Andy

Andy,
It is not the phone. Apple have tested it. The issue will not be an app as my mom has the worlds most basic phone, literally, it isn't even a 3g handset.
Someone, somewhere within Vodafone needs to get their hands on a customers handset that is having this issue and troubleshoot the network issues creating this problem.
the issue is that , for most people, it is an intermitent issue, 1 or 2 days of down time and then working fine the other days.
