Hi....I am am having trouble setting up Mac Filtering......probably finger trouble. I have vodafone connect using a Hauwei HHG2500 router. I have split the SSID into two networks. I enable Mac filtering then apply the list of all known devices. Click allow devices. On clicking save changes I get the banner saying this change will disconnect all devices. Then I thought I would just add one device to the list instead of them all but it does just the same ie disconnects all devices. This then means I have to reset the device as I now cannot get access to the device as it has not only disconnected all devices but barred them as well!!........what am i missing here?.....thank you

Do you have anything that will connect via ethernet?
Like you said, unless you can see what is happening then you cannot fix it, the fact it's barring all devices even if you only add one shows something is amiss. If you connect via ethernet then the MAC filter won't apply, at least I think so anyway.
On the broader issue of using a MAC filter, it's a pretty poor security measure as MAC addresses can be spoofed easily, the fact it's causing you problems I'd be tempted to drop it and use a strong(er) password for the wifi access instead.
