My Vodafone app not working

The app hasn't worked for weeks and now comes up with 'sorry we are having a few technical difficulties at the moment' as soon as I open the app. Have reinstalled several times and spoken to 191 and was given the all will be fine in 24 hours rubbish but still dead.

I use a Nexus 6p running Android 7.0

Anyone able to fix this?

Just sent an email to ##~## asking if there is a fix on the way, seeing as this forum is a complete waste of everyone's time. <br><br>The above email address is listed in Google play as the Vodafone app contact address. We shall see what comes back.......

Thanks Bro. Yes, it is a waste of time but so is the live chat and 191. Doesnt leave us with many options to get our issues resolved. I would rather not spend my time on forums, phones, etc. I think we should start thinking about some other course of action, watchdog etc ? Ill keep an eye on the forum. By the way another post on the forum today about the app not working, brilliant!

2nd time posting this, so hopefully it gets through. 

 

I am using Nexus 6P and my vodfone app has been working for over a year. I haven't changed contracts but didnt' subscribe to eurotraveller and now the app won't work! 

 

Can someone please investigate this for me?

I`ve got the same problem. I had "pay as you go" using  Vodafone App, then bought  "pay monthly" contract and changed ( or kept) the number i previosly had and the problem began. There is nothing wrong with the phone or Android 6 on it (i deleted and reloaded the app a few times),after I tried to swap a SIM  to my friend`s one from vodafone as well - everything is working perfectly, which means it has to be fixed on vodafone`s side and it has happen exactly after i changed new contract number to my old one.

I`m asking tech support guys to help me.

Popped into the Vodafone shop in Reading today, apparently they are aware with an issue with the app, don't think it is individual account related. We will just have to wait for Vodafone to fix whatever is broken.

Still nothing back from the 2 screen shots I sent to vf last week and the week before, shocking useless customer service!!

Hi guys, I've got a welcome text from Vodafone with a web link attached. I deleted Vodafone app and reinstalled it again following the link. Magic happened - the app starts working.

An update: The app stopped working after a SIM only upgrade deal to both my lines on the 26th September 2016. Numerous attempts to contact and fix the app over the weeks resulted in me posting on this thread. Tech department did get in touch but since then all I get is an automated mail claiming they are working on the problem. 

 

On the 16th October 2016 the app started working. Two things from me: strongly believe the app DOES need time to play catch up if you have made changes to your account (lord knows why Vodafone doesn't tell you that upfront), secondly until a techie reads this post I believe no one from Vodafone is aware that my problem is resolved! 3 days later and no one has been in touch to confirm they have 'fixed' it...

 

If this helps anyone - be patient, expect the app to go down and check every week. I don't believe uninstalling the app is necessary either...

Another here. App not been working for months and had the same run around. Power off phone, uninstall etc. None of it works. And they just don't care. Also been waiting 2 months for a call back about broadband. Completely useless company.
