Hi I've just changed banks and was wondering should I manually change my account direct debit details to reflect my new account number or will Vodafone do this after the switching process has completed?

Thanks

Hi. A colleague of mine at work just switched banks recently using the bank switching procedure and he didn't have to do anything, the new bank set up the direct debit with Vodafone with no problems, this I, believe, is how it's supposed to work and you shouldn't have to do anything.

John is correct, you don't need to do anything if you are using the current account switching service.

The guarantee offered as part of the service will take care of setting up all payments from the account as well as payments into the account, including payments sent to your old account by mistake after the switch date.

Your new bank is responsible for all this and more importantly, liable for any mistakes.

Sit back and let them do it all.
