No 3G signal on phone from suresignal

I have a SureSignal version 3

At some stage it must have worked because I know I have used data via it to set up the My Vodaphone app. However, now the phone (Galaxy A3) shows a strong signal but no 3G identifieer (or any other identifier - just the vertical bars) and I cannot use data or download an MMS message.

Voice calls and SMS work fine, and the 3rd light on the SureSIgnal is on when the device is in use.

Mobile Data is on in 'More Networds / Mobile Networks'

Anyone got any ideas?

@webcraft

If those speeds are accurate, your download speed is much too slow for the Sure Signal to function properly.

This will be what is causing the issue you’re having.

I’d suggest speaking to your ISP, to see if there is anything they can do to speed your internet connection up.

Sorry, what do you mean?

Download speed is  6.9Mb/s

We are very near the exchange and that's about as fast as it gets for standard BT broadband - I think you misread my post.

I reset the Access Point to COntract WAP and I now have an 'H' signal frmo the SureSignal, so all is well. Have also set up Vodafone MMS, so shouldn be able to use picture messaging now.

Still not sure what you meant by saying i had a low download speed.

And now this morning my phone says 'not registerd on network' - though it works round at my father's where it is registered to his suresignal. It has never said this before.

I have to go away for a few days and am switching everything off. Hope it works when I get back

@webcraft Apologies, on the trace route that you’ve provided, it shows a 6.9 Mbps upload speed and 0.35 Mbps download speed.

Please can you reconfirm the correct speeds, so we can advise further?

Thanks,

Sarah
