All lights correct on SS v1, but no 3g signal.
Ping = 10ms, Download = 72.27Mbps, Up = 17.09Mbps.
Tracert from my pc only shows the router as the first line then all timed out.
Ping 212.183.133.177 times out.
Only change i made was to move the network port from an 8 way switch to a spare port on my Plusnet router.
Have re-booted the SS but no change, always end up with lights 1,2 & 4 steady on but no light 3.
Two phones, niether connects both worked ok before.
Have tried changing the postcode to a different on in a good 3g area but no change.
Ideas please??
Thanks, Paul

So having arranged with support that tech support will call me today to sort this out I thought I would have one more go last night.
First i did the reboot as per the normal instruction & it still didn't work, not really surprised. Then i had a read of the forum. Lots of people with a similar issue till i discovered a post by "AnabolicStewie". In it he did the usual reboot but modified it by waiting 5 minutes before plugging the ethernet network cable back in & it worked for him.
So i thought this was worth trying. IT WORKED!!!!!!!!
My Galaxy Note worked within a few minutes of the SS finishing it's update & the Nokia took around 15 mins before it had a stable 3G signal. Both are still working this morning so problem solved & all thanks to "AnabolicStewie".
I will do a seperate post so other users see this & hopefully it will help them as well.

Hi Paul-42,
Thanks for coming back to us with the additional details.
From the last traceroute it would suggest that it’s not connecting to the server but looking at the registration I can see that this isn’t the case.
What phones are you using?
Please try the following reset on the Sure Signal and let me know how you get on.
-Hold in the reset button until all lights go solid
-Pull the power lead and the Ethernet cable out with the reset button still pushed in
-Continue to hold down the reset button and reconnect the power lead
-Wait for all lights to come on and then release the reset button
-Plug the Ethernet cable back in.

Hi James, thanks for that
Tried the hard reset but no change, still not working, just lights 1 + 2 + 4 on steady. Tried re-booting phones.
When the power is back on with the button held in the 4 lights flash in turn, I assume thats when to release the button?
Phones are a Galaxy Note & a Nokia 5230. No changes in the phones or sim's & all working ok otherwise.

Hi Paul-42,
Thanks for getting back to me,
I’ve checked the registration again and it still looks fine.
When doing the reset, the lights should all flash in turn and then flash together, you then release the button and put the Ethernet cable back in.
As they’re 3G phones it should work fine and it is starting to puzzle me a bit.
As this is still happening, we’ll need to get a case raised to our support teams and you can see how to contact the team here to get the ball rolling.

Hi James, thanks for the help. Interestingly I just did another reboot & although I get the sequence of lights 1-2-3-4 I am then left with just light 1 on. Waited a couple of minutes but no change. I then plugged the ethernet back in.
Still not working so I will go down the support route.

Figured out why tracert not working, Bitdefender was blocking incoming ICMP
Here is the real output:
