I've been without use of my network since around 11am today and I still can't make or receive calls/texts at the time of writing
My existing number was due to be transferred over to Vodaphone today and I was informed via email that the transfer was due to complete at 4pm but it's clearly not worked correctly as both my old number and my new number no longer work.
As a new customer to Vodaphone this is extremely disappointing and frustrating - I'm considering sending the phone back and canceling my contract as at present it's of no use to me. I've tried calling and emailing but so far I have not been able to get a resolution to this problem- can anybody help?

Hi Bluetone82
Sorry that the porting of your number hasn't gone so smoothly. Sometimes it does take a while for your old provider to release the number over to Vodafone during which time you will have no signal on either phone.
You can call the porting team on 08700720265 for an update or wait for one of the eForum Team to get in touch. I would also recommend turning your S3 off for a bit and then on again - this can sometimes help to clear any issues.

Hi bluetone82,
Thanks for sharing. Porting is usually a seamless transfer of service but some aspects can sometimes be delayed when large volumes of numbers are being ported at the same time. As mentioned already, resetting the phone for a few minutes every hour or so will help hurry the process along.
Can you confirm that this is all sorted now? If you're still missing all or partial service, please don't hesitate to email my team directly using the instructions I've sent to you via Private Message. You can find your PM inbox here.
Cheers, Ben

Hi,
Sorry for the delay - been out of the country for a few days
Yes this is all sorted now, everything was working fine when I turned my phone on the morning of the 17th so perhaps having the phone off overnight did the trick
Thanks
Tony
