Hello , how do I open port 8085 as i am logging onto an external server but cannot use the aplication because of this port..

Apologies if there was some confusion, since your question did not tie in exactly to the original one I was trying to answer ;)

I can confirm that we do not actively block any ports. Problems only arise where a specific service or application tries to connect back to your IP address directly as a peer-to-peer connection.

I'll have a go at setting up a proxy then. It means www access would be via my adsl from home and
whilst thats not free on weekdays it should avoid the corruption of various filetypes that I keep
having via the vodafone proxy.
