Hi - just moved house, to a location where there's a poor / no Vodafone signal. The previous owner left behind a v3 SureSignal however as he hadn't used it for > 12 months it's been deactivated. According to online chat, it can't be re-activated and I need to shell out £69 for a new one, and throw the old one, which seems a bit wasteful. Is there any way to re-activate the SureSignal? My other option is move to EE who have a great signal here.
Thanks
Tim

Hi
First an original owner has to de register from the SS via their Myvodafone account.
Also as its been unused for over 12 months Vodafone won't re activate it as per their T&C.
"If you decide not to use the Sure Signal Service for 3 months (or more) we can suspend, restrict or stop providing the Sure Signal Services (all or part of them) and you’ll still have to pay all charges during any period of restriction or suspension. If we do this, we will, if you ask us to, reconnect the Sure Signal Services unless you’ve not used or registered your Sure Signal Box for 12 months. After this time, if you’ve not registered or used your Sure Signal Box we’ll stop providing the Sure Signal Services and won’t be able to reconnect your Sure Signal Box to the network."

Excellent, so bin it and buy a new one, sounds like a nice environmentally-friendly money maker. Anyone from VF care to comment?
