Hi. I have two pay monthly sims, one for a phone and one for an ipad, the phone already has 500MB data to be used whilst roaming. I understood that from 11th June I would be able to use all my inclusive calls, texts and data abroad. I contacted vodafone yesterday via chat, and was told that I could use my phone for 500MB, but not the ipad as the inclusive data was for the UK only. Surely that can't be right?

@alinclifton
As far as I understand and all the material published by Vodafone/other carries points to you being correct. From June 11th all data will effectively become roaming data and can be used within EU countries as if it was being used at home in the UK.

Thanks. That's what I thought. I wish their chat operators thought the same

@alinclifton and @wwhyte92 You’re both exactly right. :smileyhappy:
From 11 June you can use your UK allowance (including data) in any of our Roam-free destinations (this includes the plan you’ve got for your iPad).
With the 500MB of European roaming that’s already included in your plan, you’ll use this first and then if you use that up - the UK data allowance afterwards.
Take a look at our Travelling abroad page, for all of our information on travelling abroad.
I hope you have a great time! :smileyhappy:
