Since receiving my Note 7 on the 2nd of September and still being unable to use it (signal problem with handset) then the subsequent recall, I must say I am shocked at the lack of infomation from both Samsung and Vodafone.
Mine is sitting here in it's box, I have been charged for it and charged for the usage, even though I have not been able to use it, I have spoken to CS a few times with very little help at all, one advisor said they had not heard of the recall!?! Seriously come on!
I like a few others I have read on this forum have arranged to sell their older devices to offset the cost of these Note 7's, which by the time we get them will be outdated, no doubt also worth a lot less than they would have being if this sorry state of affairs hadn't happened, but the does not deter from the fact that most of us bought these over inflated mobiles because they were the latest tech item available, we paid over the top to have them from day one, now we are being left behind by Apple once again.
Even more annoying is Vodafone's response, "you can always return the device with the free VR headset and cancel the contract" or you can order a different type of phone! Sorry I did an early upgrade because I wanted the Note 7, not an Apple or HTC device, Samsung and Vodafone have really screwed their customers over this, I appreciate it isn't al their own fault but the treatment of us customers since this started has being nothing more than a shambles and I think they need to be looking at compensating those affected by this.
Sadly those who had ordered and not received your device I feel even worse for you, now if you lived in America you could have had your replacement last Wednesday, yes 9 days ago, but us here in Europe are not as important as the Yanks.
Samsung have lost millions of orders for the new Note 7 to Apple from what I have seen, such a sad state of affairs, lets go back to readily replaceable batteries!

@Retired-LouiseE If Samsung are saying as per the official statement
By limiting the ability of the device to charge to full capacity, Samsung aims to reduce the risk of incidents and simultaneously reinforce the message to customers that they should immediately replace their existing device with a new Note7. "
Is this battery limiting software also going to apply to new devices?
If so that sounds as though they are saying if by chance there is a software glitch and your phone battery goes over 60% it may well explode.

Spoken to vodafone before and they have confirmed DPD are coming out on thursday to do a swop.
There's a special ELR team setup to handle the request. I'd recommending asking to speak to them.

Lousie_E so there was me sort of hoping Vodafne now had everythig sorted...when through to ELR "Early Life Retentions" and was told couldn't return because outside of 30days, long discussion and agent admitted he didnt know about the Note 7. Asked to speak to his manager who eventually said would transfer to ELR team...even thoguh i had asked the previous agent to do this. ELR team said Vodafone dont have any note 7's, no idea when they will get them and then filled out a form on the phone which he sends to Samsung who will then contact me. Have been promsed a call back before 7.30pm from a manager (not holding my breath for)
Louise_E again please can we have constructive and consistent messages from Vodafone..this is just the worse kind of Customer Service.
If anyone gets any tips on who to get through to anyone at Vodafone who knows what is going on please share

Not sure who to believe having called Vodafone a few times - was just told though that they have no new Note 7s as of Monday evening, but they were in transit. So expectation is later this week for a swap out. Agent was a bit terse, said that the new Iphone was keeping everyone super busy...

in response to CC Kids "We certainly seem to be following the Yanks with this ridiculous wanting of compensation for the simplest things in like. Thing go wrong, that is a fact of life. Not every minor hiccup is an excuse for compensation, for goodness sake it is a phone, it is not a like threatening event. Accept these things happen and move on."
You sir, can Jog On.
What i'm complaining about is the sheer incompetency of vodafone. Had I called yesterday, got through to a nice person who took my issue and resolved it in 10-15 minutes I would have been happy.
WHAT I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT is being transferred to 8 different people (7 of which were cold transfers) having to RE VERIFY myself and RE EXPLAIN myself multiple times.
This is EXTREMELY POOR customer service on every count.
I mean you should have heard them on the phone, at one point somebody actually said to me that they cannot arrange an exchange as I am outside of my 30 day period (as I pre ordered the phone on 16th August). I'm sorry but with any company the 30 days starts from when you RECEIVE the product, but not with vodafone. Not to mention, they've sold me a product that could potentially endanger my life so the 30 day period should be well extended.I had an absolute battle and was spitting with rage at one point.
My friend has had this problem with EE. He spoke to them once, got a replacement coming tomorrow and got £30 compensation. Now that is good customer service. This is absolutely ROCK BOTTOM POOR.

2 friends confirmed they are exchanging tomorrow, one iwth o2 the other with EE, they have stock already, looks like Vodafone have let us down once again, and both of those friends are getting some compensation, £25 on EE and no idea what o2 are giving yet, but according to Voda today we aren't getting anything, they made it out that we should be lucky they are prepared to swap the Note 7 in the first place.
This has been a disaster from start to, well the end is nigh apparently, oh dear I am not allowed to pray for anything else to happen to another new release like what has happened to the Note 7, and I stand by my belief it was all caused by a big fruit named company!
