MMS is often disabled on new accounts (and some upgrades).  This isn't always apparent to the customer service people, but the team here will be able to investigate for you.   They aim to respond to all posts within 24-48 hours, so please hang on.

Thank you very much for your reply. Vodafone customer service and technical guys are adamant all the settings are correct on my account, but i'm hoping a solution is found on here. Thanks guys.

The team here will be able to investigate for you.  The advantage is that they can do it offline and take as long as necessary.  If it's what I think it may be, it's a bit more buried than the basic stuff.

hrynm is spot on here

This is a account issue and they tried to do the same to me on my upgrade

thankfully the person that did this had the authority to do this

the problem can happen with online upgrades or via a third party eg phones 4U

we have for a long time asked for this to be in the My account section but that has not happend

secound tier tec can turn this on

Now it will take 24hrs to work

hi folks

had texts from vodafone regarding settings all of which i've done before but done nevertheless and still the same problem persists. "service not activated on network". Cheers

If I'm right, it's not the settings or anything you can do at your end.   The service has to be provisioned behind the scenes.

Just to let you know...

The Team will send you an email, for you to reply to. This will give then the legal authority to access your account and check/change settings on the account.

Can someone please tell me how to sort out this problem then as i cant even figure out how to send a message to get this resolved. i never had a problem then after an upgrade or something i can not receive any MMS at all and neither can my partner. I went into store they dont know how to do it!!! i went on the messaging service but after multiple checks and factory resets etc no difference...... i waited 25 minutes on the phone line but no answer  i want this switched back on as this is part of my service to the phone and now i cant see anything. please please can some one tell me how to do this

It's as simple as putting a tick in a box
But vodafone need a request on record that you want mms turning on
This has been out for two years now and it's to prevent a small being sent as a mms the was a voluntary contract vodafone signed up to with offcom.
This came about as people thought they were sending small messages but they were mms then each message was 35p a message so massive bills happened this was the nail on the coffin for mms
