Samsung Galaxy S6 completely dead!

I've had my S6 just over a month and up until last night I had no problems with it, however this morning the phone is completely dead. It was left on overnight (as I use it as my alarm clock) it had plenty of battery charge but this morning it had turned itself off and it would not turn back on, I've tried attaching it to a charger (wifi and plugged) but I'm getting no lights coming on at all.

Has anyone else had this problem or any ideas of what else I can try.

If you have one or access to one try another battery, if that doesn't work then it's a fault with the phone.

Unfortunately the S6 has a non-removable battery.

If that's the case then I shall not be bying an S6, I'll stick with my S3 GT-i9300, best handset Samsung have produced up to now.

Give Samsung a ring, and explain the situation to them, you're wasting your time and breath with Vodafone.

mine didn't go completely dead BUT it won't charge!!! Only via the wireless charger. I'm guessing the charging port has issues 😕

Hmm had exactly the same issue this morning...Went to bed last night with 46% battery left. Awoke this morning and realised my mobile alarm hadn't kicked in...The fone was completely dead...It's been on 'charge' now for 20mins with no signes of life?  I did note that Google Play Services (mobile radio...) had been using 60% of my battery the day before. I had reset the fone, checked to make sure all the usual suspects were switched off (wifi,bluetooth,notifications etc...) and had power saving enabled at 20%..This is completely unacceptable, I have a new fone that has less battery life than my previous S3.

I always think that buying anything that is 'just out' or a 'new release' is a bit dodgy, it's like when they bring out a new car, wait for about three years until you buy one, let all the other owners get the 'recalls' and all the faults and when it's all been ironed out, that's the time to buy. It seems to me that the further technology advances the more faults occur, why do people feel the impulsive need to 'must have' the latest when their existing stuff is working perfectly well?

OK eventually after trying several times with various Vulcan death grip bbutton pushes, I've got the fone back into life...It's now fully charged and operating normally.

THE INTERESTING part...I have GSam battery monitor and so can see roughly what went on (unlike the standard battery monitor that loses history as soon as you recharge)  Look at the attached...(edited in accordance with House Rules) to the fone just after 6am...Battery at 50%, Cool temps, nothing active, normal fone signal strength...the fone just DIES!!   Is this going to happen again...HMMM

If a lithium-based battery goes completely flat it can take over an hour to start charging, so it may be necessary to leave the device plugged in for longer than you expect.   This type of battery also doesn't like going flat and allowing them to do so will shorten their life.  I realise that wasn't intentional in this case, but the reason for the drain needs to be addressed.   Have a look in Settings|About and see what's been using the battery.  If it's the display, check that something isn't stopping it from sleeping.

Mine did eventually come back on and seems to have been fine since. Every so often just try turning it on and hopefully yours will do the same.
